BY AKL MANAGEMENT Our Longwood office ( in Central Florida) has recently gone through some changes. We wanted to let you know as our parents, that the SENSORY ROOM is now available to our patients!
The room has been a project set in the Director’s mind for a while and continues to be renovated. As the room is updated, we
will be keeping you updated via our Youtube channel.
The room features an infinity mirror, speakers for soothing melodies, special lighting, plus more!
Therapists and therapist assistants will be able to use this room during therapy sessions in various ways. Our hope is that it will help our patients modify their behavioral response via this new sensory input/output process.
The patient will be fully engaged in their auditory, visual, tactile senses among others.
